Flowserve is looking for an experienced Machinist to work on a variety of manual machines to produce high quality parts for the pump industry. This is role at our air-conditioned, clean, well-organized Manufacturing facility in Woodbridge Ontario.
Experienced with setup and operation of engine lathe, Bridgeport mill, drill press
Able to read and interpret blueprints, including Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Adept with common inspection measuring equipment
Able to perform part self-inspection and make necessary setup corrections if required
Able to analyze manufacturing and tooling problems and formulate solutions
Adhere to and maintain quality work practices, qualifications, and procedures
Adhere to all Safety Procedures & Policy.
Familiar with machine shop general equipment maintenance practices
Able to make good decision and make strict deadlines in fast paced environment
Easily adapt to change as required, especially those related to the needs of scheduling and last minute planning
Familiar with Continuous Improvement process
The hours of operations are 7:00AM -3:30PM (Monday-Friday). Ability to work overtime and weekends on short notice is required .
1+ years of experience in Manual machining
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments, such as Micrometers, Verniers, Bore Gauges, Pressure Gauges, Meters, Dial Indicators, Rulers and Depth Gauges
Must be willing to demonstrate a track record of reliable, dependable work ethic with a personal commitment to quality workmanship
Show an attention to detail, a respect for processes & instructions customer-service, and be results-oriented mindset at all times
Physically fit, occasional lifting of parts and material up to 40 Lbs
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice
Must be flexible to work in all areas as workload requires
General Machinist license preferred
Must be willing to assist welders, machinists and others on the millwright team in the performance of their duties.
Forklift certification desirable
Must be flexible to support production requirement in various manufacturing areas as workload requires.
CNC experience an asset
Must have a personal set of machinist tools and roll-around tool box (some tools provided)
