Position Description:

Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150,000 square feet and provides capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves all markets (power, oil&gas, water resources, general industry, and chemical). The facility has expanded four times since opening in 1971 to accommodate revenue growth and product line developments. The staff of approximately 230 are provided a unique environment, where the entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.

Qualified candidates would be responsible for the following duties -

· Drive a “Customer First” philosophy throughout the organization

· Adhere to Flowserve values, business ethics, and safety standards/guidelines

· Embrace and drive a CIP environment & 6S in your area of responsibility and throughout the organization

· Support the Project Management team by checking technical suitability of all major buyouts

· Review, analyze, and mitigate risks for technical issues

· Communicate timely to Management and other stakeholders on all pertinent issues related to the projects

· Act as a single point of contact for internal customers and as a support contact for external customers with respect to project initiatives from a technical standpoint, including specification & documentation requirements

· Actively work with Project Manager and Documentation Software Technician to support software requirements to include creation and review of documentation prior to submittal

· Utilize software tracking on all orders, including the use of vendor numbers to track supplier documentation

· Coordinate activities of operational personnel to meet customer requirements

· Assure equipment we deliver meets technical and performance requirements

· Support onsite meetings, testing, and Customer/inspector visits, as required

· Actively support milestones related to payment, field service and disputes

· Interact with customers and sales, traveling to customer or vendor locations as necessary

Position Requirements:

· Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

· High mechanical aptitude

· Strong problem solving skills

· Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to travel when required


· Experience with rotating equipment industry highly preferred

· PMP / IPMA certification is a plus

· Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
