- Previous experience in Electrical Engineering is required.
· Proficiency with computer software design tools (word processor, spreadsheet, internet, PCB, CAD).
Be available as an engineering resource to support the R&D department to build and/or test new or legacy test hardware or prototype hardware. Assist in setting up new product test and test fixtures, and in maintaining and improving robustness of existing products and test fixtures. Provide support to the assembly lines in the form of troubleshooting, instruction, and training. Help in maintenance andcalibration of test and assembly fixtures.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical
procedures, or governmental and industry regulations in English. Ability
to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability
to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, and co-workers.
Ability to comprehend
and apply principles of modern algebra, geometry, electronic engineering
formulas and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with production
related math concepts such as statistical process control.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form. Ideally, a self-starter,
to push issues to completion with little supervision.
Skilled in programming concepts and
logic. Willing to learn new programming languages if necessary.
Experience with LabVIEW and/or Arduino preferred.
to read and understand engineer electronic circuitry to accomplish specific
design objectives or tests.
to understand and read electronic CAD systems schematic design.
to use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot electronic circuitry.
to write technical reports and training materials and to keep a laboratory
to diagnose electronics problems through the application of theory and testing.
to work with little or no supervision.
to plan, schedule, and execute simple projects.
to communicate effectively orally and in written form.
Provide documentation technical support for the assembly, verification, and maintenance of new test fixtures for new
and existing products. Work with the design engineers to determine testing processes and procedures.
Assist as a representative member of the materials review board (MRB). This entails a periodic evaluation and
disposition of the electronics assemblies that failed in assembly.

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in electrical engineering for a four-year college or university, or an Associate degree in
Electronic Technology. Plus 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or design environment.

· Mechanical and pneumatics background.
· Proficiency in either Spanish or Chinese.
· Any experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus,
Foundation Fieldbus, DeviceNet, HART) is a plus.
· Any experience with tools for software engineering (Eclipse IDE, Team Foundation
Server, Subversion, Git) or software test (Unity, JUnit, LDTP, LabVIEW) is a plus.
· Linux or RTOS experience is a plus.
The purpose of this job is to assist the research and development group to apply electrical and other engineering principles in the manufacturing and testing processes to assure a fully functioning product.
The main focus of this job is on digital products to build and troubleshoot custom electronic/mechanical hardware and software.
This job also involves technical support to production lines and Flowserve employees through phone conversations, emails, and one-on-one support.
