Position Summary :
Increase business by supporting representatives and customers with technical and commercial information. Answer technical questions regarding control valves, material recommendations, pneumatic systems, digital products. Answer commercial questions regarding terms of contracts, lead times, and documentation requirements. Additional responsibilities include general problem solving as it relates to valve orders, and hosting visitors by giving informative facility tours and appropriate entertainment. Travel required to develop business by making presentations and training. 1-2 years experience required.
· All accountabilities of a Level 1 engineer.
· Timely response to customer and representative inquiries.
· Review all valve orders for completeness and correctness. Must resolve all issues before passing order to the Contract Administrator for entry.
· Must train representatives to better understand our product, update of services, policies, to help them be more self-sufficient, competent, and profitable.
· Correctly apply applicable industry standards.
· Prepare professional and persuasive quotations to win orders.
· Assist other departments whenever order questions arise.
· Synergistic work in a team environment.
· Review and approve commercial terms of contracts.
· Disseminate un-printed technical information to the representatives.
· Proper application of technical knowledge of control valves, noise, cavitation, pneumatics, materials.
· Correctly identify and apply QA procedures to meet customer requirements.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (B. S.) from a four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Use Performance, ORACLE, and Microsoft Word and Excel in a productive manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with difficult people.
Technical knowledge of fluids, corrosion, erosion, materials, valve specifications, engineering drawings.
Time management skills are essential as work load normally exceeds available time.
Organization of projects, files, workload.
Prioritization of workload.
Must be able to teach topics from CV101 school.
Know how to build valves and calibrate positioners.
Must have a basic knowledge of the order process from entry to shipment.
Basic knowledge of commercial issues including payment terms, shipping terms, and contract review.
Beneficial Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Foreign language skills are desirable.
Computer skills for internet, Performance! Sizing software, Microsoft Office.
