- High School diploma or GED.
Experience and Skills:
5-years minimum of industrial Outside Sales experience
A working knowledge of the valve industry, commercial
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally to a broad audience.
Strong organizational skills are critical as you are working independently.
Computer capable with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and being competent in Avante and Oracle
Ability to work independently to achieve or exceed established goals with minimal direct supervision
This Sales Engineer position supports the Flow Control Operation and is responsible for introducing, promoting and selling critical service valves into the commercial and nuclear power generation market; to develop new customer accounts in order to achieve or exceed established sales goals; and introduce and promote other FCO products where applicable.
All Sales Engineers are also responsible for profit and expense control for their assigned territory. This is a Field Sales position with significant amounts of Sales Channel, End User and fellow Flowserve employee interaction.
Up to 50% travel is required and at present, includes the following states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida The preferred candidate would reside in one of these states.
College degree or equivalent in a technical/engineering discipline or marketing/business management preferred.
Nuclear experience is preferred.
