Position Description:

Position Summary To prepare valves, spare parts, and other products for shipment using Flowserve’s packaging procedures to the customer and/or job site. Preparing shipping docs for multiple carriers, scheduling and loading freight. Receive all incoming Purchase orders in a timely manner, Including Bar stock, Raw Stock, UPS, Fed-X, and LTL carriers. Perform computer transaction and all requirements of incoming orders that apply to special Handling requirements of the Standard Practice & Procedures listed in the Procedure Manual.

Job Duties:

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to cut lumber to certain lengths using a tape measure.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment:

In order to perform the functions of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. He/she is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock. Typical noise levels for this position are loud.

Qualifications

Education Preferred:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Operate hand power tools and numeric tools

Requires familiarity with shipping, receiving and stock room functions

Ability to drive forklift, operate crane and sawhorse

Must be able to work overtime as required.
