\"Installs and repairs machinery or equipment at customer sites , following blueprints and manufacturers instructions, and utilizing knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical machinery. Operates machines through trial run to ensure that quality and rate of production meet specifications. Trains customer personnel in adjusting, maintaining, and repairing machinery or equipment. Repairs or coordinates repair of worn or defective machinery or equipment.\"
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment in the field. The equipment will primarily consist of Flowserve Control Valve products, but may also include control valve products of other manufacturers.
Provide technical phone support to customers
Assist Flowserve QRC’s when requested and available.
Assist the engineering department with failure evaluations.
Initiate Non Conformance Reports (NCR’s).
Conduct diagnostic testing on control valves and interpret the results. Testing can be via SoftTools, Profiler, ValveSight, FAST Test, or StarTalk XP software.
Ability to configure, calibrate and commission all digital equipment manufactured by Flowserve. Proficient with HART, MODBUS and Foundation Fieldbus digital communication protocols.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Six months to two years of related experience and/or formal training in area of specialization. Applies and develops basic skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization. Duties and tasks are simple and repetitive. Assists in more advanced functions as part of training and development. Refers questions and problems to higher levels.
