•Perform and coordinate record reviews, information retrieval, and inspection results data input and analysis in the evaluation of quality program compliance and product quality and reliability.
•Participates in the review of customer contracts in assuring the compliance with the contractual requirements. Support the setting of Project Specific Quality Plans, leads quality planning efforts, including customer needs analysis.
•Follow and monitor corrective actions on the area or projects assigned and report deficiencies in response and results. Perform and assist others in Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventative Actions. Use DMAIC Lite tool for root-cause and corrective actions
•Drive assigned external audits, including supplier source evaluations, product and process audits. Assist Quality Manager and Supply Chain in the evaluation of suppliers and implementation and monitoring of the supplier improvement process.
•Liaison with manufacturing and inspectors while assisting them in the performance of their function. Ensure compliance with applicable manufacturing, repair and regulatory standards
•Assist Quality Manager in the development, implementation and monitoring of the QMS and procedures; analyzing trending of quality data systems: CAR, NCR, Customer Satisfaction Surveys and supplier performance.
•Provide input into facility CI improvement activities, reducing process variation and defects. Participate on programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and analytical equipment and facilities. Involvement on FMEA and Gage R&R initiatives.
•Support fast resolution of customer related issues.
•Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks.
•Provide guidance, coaching, training and assistance to operations and engineering personnel on quality issues.
•Engineering degree or equivalent and/or 5+ years related experience
•Experience in utilization of Lean and Six Sigma, 8D, Pareto Analysis tools and methodologies preferred
•Understanding of product/process flow
•Experienced in current quality practices and International Standards.
•Consequences of product non-conformance
•Foundry, machining, assembly and painting process experience a plus
•Microsoft Office proficiency
Generates and maintains procedures, specifications, and systems to ensure customer requirements are effectively planned, and ensures that the operations, material control and processes satisfy customer requirements. Leads and conducts external (supplier) and internal oversight functions that includes audits, surveillance, and assessments.
