has performance agreements with global customers on rotating equipment. These
agreements are called Life Cycle Advantage (LCA) Agreements. Teams of
maintenance, reliability and application engineers work dedicated on customers’
site in order to supply new or repaired seals and to improve equipment life
cycle time through technical advice and support. Flowserve has an opening for
an On-site Application Engineer. This role is located at customer site in the
Rotterdam area / South West of The Netherlands.
Champion the Flowserve LCA vision into actionable strategies with clearobjectives and deliverables to insure world class best practices areimplemented across all Life Cycle Advantage sites;
Actively lead the implementation of the LCA 2.0 strategy within end userlocations by driving enhancements and sharing best practices to ensureefficient execution and site performance objectives are exceeded;
Strategically translate equipment data intelligence and failure history intoformal reliability solutions that meet ROI expectations and a sustainable TCOsolution is delivered and accepted by the customer;
Coordinate with LCA Execution, On-site Application Engineers, BusinessDevelopment and End User Sales teams to ensure overall health, long term growthand sustainability of the Life Cycle Advantage programs is achieved;
Work collaboratively with LCA Execution Managers and on-site ApplicationEngineers to develop actionable plans to drive continuous improvements, monitorperformance, and improve customer satisfaction levels by driving effectiveexecution of the program and ensuring customers openly recognize the value addof the LCA;
Must have strong analytical skills and ability to identify problemapplications, data trends and evaluate the potential impact of problems andfinancial impact of proposed solutions;
Maintain a high level of competence and be comfortable operating andcommunicating within the Flowserve Sales, Technical Service and Operationalorganizations;
Ability to work closely with customers through strong verbal and writtencommunication skills in a confident and positive manner;
Works effectively with a high degree of self-management making sound decisionsand managing multiple priorities.

Bachelor’sdegree in mechanical engineering or equivalent;
A minimumof 5 years of relevant working experience in a service oriented environment, ina related industry;
Comprehensive knowledge of the basic functions of the Oil & Gas and Chemicalindustries;
Demonstrated knowledge of customer’s manufacturing process including pump andseal requirements;
Strong technical background in rotating equipment and/or mechanical seals;
Candidate should have a demonstrated pro-active behaviour and ability to createand further develop this skill;
Extensive experience and judgment to plan organize and accomplish goals;
Excellent communication skills to conduct training sessions and communicatewith the customer;
Strong self-motivated, willingness to learn, assertive, positive attitude andwork ethics;
Strong PC knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Power Point experience isrequired.

The Regional Reliability Engineer is acritical role in identifying Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) opportunities forupgrades and aftermarket solutions for our end user customers in theNetherlands. It is expected that the individual will work closely with the EndUser Sales team to analyse technical and key business information in order toleverage the entire Flowserve product and service portfolio and deliverysustainable TCO solutions to our end users. Successful candidates ideally have astrong technical background in rotating equipment and/or mechanical seals.
