Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics or related discipline required

· Master’s degree/MBA preferred

· 8 to 12 years primary/syndicated research experience

· Five to 10 years online research experience

· 8 to 12 years data analytics, modeling and reporting experience

· Strong background in knowledge management

· Previous sales enablement and/or channel marketing experience a plus

Required Skills:

· Highly analytical

· Strong communicator, especially in written form

· Able to take market research and insights and weave them into critical b-to-b sales/marketing/product deliverables (e.g. market analyses)

· Selection and management of third-party research vendors

· Can work across business units to connect with sales resources, buyers and channel partners

Desired Skills:

· Experience with primary/secondary research methods, both offline and online

· Familiarity with industry-standard assessment models

· Experience with statistical/analytics packages

· Deep knowledge of Flowserve target market segments and customer personas

· Knowledge of Flowserve’s competitive set

Position Description:

Basic Function:

The market insights analyst is responsible for executing the approved research plan to meet business objectives. They focus on developing and executing market research with both internal and external partners/resources and use the information gathered to support corporate, industry and marketing strategy, product/solution marketing and management, and sales enablement. This position will report to one of the Industry Marketing Directors.

· Provide actionable, fact-based research and insight that align with objectives, goals and business decisions

· Develop and design surveys, interviews, focus group guides and usability studies that can be conducted with either external partners or internal constituents

· Manage projects outsourced to third-party suppliers of primary and secondary research

· Implement processes, procedures and policies to improve data gathering, analysis and

intelligence dissemination

· Analyze and package quantitative and qualitative information for distribution

· Conduct market sizing/opportunity studies to identify new growth markets and segments

· Establish “early warning” system for key audiences that identifies new market forces and new regulations

· Adopt and institutionalize standard analysis and assessment models

· Familiar with voice of customer techniques and assessments
