Drive timely responsiveness to all viable quotation opportunities
Manage the review of all valve orders for completeness and correctness and assist in resolving any issues to insure proper order entry.
Approve commercial terms of purchase orders and/or contracts including SAP generation and approval along with the resolution of any respective terms and conditions issues
Implement, oversee and coordinate a continual training program including extended on site visits to our European based FCO Operations to insure:
o Team members are learning how to properly applying their technical expertise and commercial knowledge during quotation preparation.
o Are updated on our techniques for utilizing any of the respective configurators / sizing and selection tools required for proposal generation
o Are learning to apply our best practices in sizing, selecting and quoting the best suited Flowserve FCO products
o Insure applicable industry standards are applied correctly
o Develop and implement an FCO “European Business Development Group” model focused on project quotation execution including more strategic and effective bundling of the complete range of Flowserve FCO’s full portfolio of products.
Work with sales group and operations management to provide accurate, timely and detailed bookings forecasts and project tracking updates as assigned by Commercial Operations director
Work closely and develop strong business relationships with the key members of our operations, sales and engineering management teams to help drive the success of our FCO organization
Additional focus should be applied to develop and forge strong and effective working relationships with both the key members of our European based and global network of Commercial Operations management team members.
Manage and assist in developing proper quotation guidelines with respect to any applicable contracts, lead times, documentation packages and/or Inspection and Testing Plans.
Continually analyze and track the results of our pricing and quotation practices including the generation of win / loss quotation hit rates to enhance our effectiveness
Track, monitor, and review the performance of your individual direct reports through our performance management review process including assigning measurable goals and focused accountabilities. Monitor the progress for each team member throughout the year per our HR guidelines and processes.
Moderate and attend meetings and conference calls and provide activity updates and reports as assigned by Commercial Operations Director
Work closely with our outside sales organization to enhance our communication, project pursuit, collaboration and overall selling efforts
Comply with Flowserve goals, objectives and policies and manage your respective team members to adhere to the same standards.
To be successful in this role an individual must be able to perform the accountabilities well. The list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, experience and abilities needed to meet the responsibilities of this position
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Any successful management experience a plus
Any control valve, general valve or actuation related experience a plus.
Fluent in Hungarian and English (any other language skills a plus)
Any Knowledge and experience serving the variety of process control markets (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and General Industries whether it be with valves or other process control equipment (pumps, instrumentation etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Proven track records of completing assignments as requested and in a timely manner
Basic knowledge of commercial issues including payment terms, shipping terms, and contract review
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet along with the ability and willingness to learn how to use other or new business software packages as required by the role
The role of this manager will be to drive the responsiveness of their assigned Commercial Operations Team to enable us to grow our FCO bookings. This position will be responsible for building a highly responsive team who is driven to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.
The group’s focus will be to build upon our existing network of European based Commercial Operations groups located at our key manufacturing operations. our Flowserve sales organization, customers, distributors and 3 rd party representative channel partners the most technically sound and competitive quotation solutions for all pertinent inquiries in addition to transferring to our operations complete and correct order entry files for execution.
